Class 1 & Class 2 CPD Requirements

 

Our CPD Program for 2025/2026 is currently under construction. If you have not completed 2024/2025 CPD please contact the office.

 

Key information for the current CPD year:

  • In the 2025-26 CPD year (1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026),  licensed agents must complete all compulsory topics relevant to their licence category and area of practice.
  • Class 1 licence holders will be required to attend a NSW Fair Trading accredited forum in addition to their core hours.
  • Failure to comply with your CPD requirements may result in the suspension or cancellation of your licence or certificate.

Licensed agents must complete all compulsory topics relevant to their category of licence and area of practice.

 

Compulsory topics must be delivered in:

  • a face-to-face interactive training environment (maximum 40 attendees), or
  • an interactive webinar (maximum 25 attendees), and
  • include an assessment activity.

 

Unlike previous years, you are no longer able to complete CPD by online self-paced training.

 

Class 1 agents have an additional requirement to spend a minimum of five hours attending a NSW Fair Trading accredited event.

Licensees-in-charge must have all CPD training detailed in the training plan for the agency, and this may be made up of topics most relevant to you.

 

Real Estate

Agents that hold a Real Estate category licence and are Residential Real Estate Salespeople, Buyers Agents and Residential Property Managers, must complete:

  • a minimum of 7 hours’ interactive training delivered by an approved provider covering 4 compulsory CPD topics.

Agents that hold a Real Estate category of licence and are Short-term Residential Property Managers must complete:

  • a minimum of 4 hours’ interactive training delivered by an approved provider covering 3 compulsory CPD topics.

Agents that hold a Real Estate category of licence and are a Commercial Real Estate Agent or a Business Broker must complete:

  • a minimum of 5 hours’ interactive training delivered by an approved provider covering 4 compulsory CPD topics.

All class 1 agents are also required to spend a minimum of five hours attending a NSW Fair Trading- accredited event.

 

Stock & Station

Agents who hold a Stock and Station category of licence must complete:

  • a minimum of 5 hours’ interactive training delivered by an approved provider covering 4 compulsory CPD topics.

All class 1 agents are also required to spend a minimum of five hours attending a NSW Fair Trading accredited event.
