What's New in CPD for 2026-2027?

Think Real Estate has again been selected by NSW Fair Trading as an approved provider of CPD for the year 2026-2027.

From July 2026, NSW Fair Trading has changed the CPD requirements.

Here's what you need to know:

There is no online self-paced learning option for CPD this year. Your learning can only take place via interactive webinar or face-to face with limited numbers of 25 and 40 attendees respectively.

CLASS 1 AGENTS - Additional ACCREDITED training

In addition to completing the required Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for your area of practice, Class 1 licence holders must also complete the following mandatory training requirements.

Part 1 – NSW Fair Trading Accredited Event(s)

Class 1 licence holders are required to attend NSW Fair Trading accredited event(s) as part of their annual CPD obligations.

The delivery model, prescribed topics and accreditation process are currently being finalised by NSW Fair Trading. Further information will be provided once these requirements are confirmed. 

Part 2 – AUSTRAC Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Training

Class 1 licence holders working in the relevant areas of practice* must also complete AUSTRAC's mandatory Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) training, developed in partnership with Blue Tribe.

Further guidance, including how and when this training must be completed, will be released once AUSTRAC finalises the delivery arrangements.

* Relevant areas of practice: Residential Real Estate Sales; Buyers Agency; Commercial Real Estate; Business Broking; Stock and Station Agency
