If you have an existing Certificate of Registration or have one granted prior to 1st January 2025 you must complete at least 3 units of the Real Estate Licensing Course (CPP41419 – Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice) as a minimum each year as CPD and become a Class 2 Licence holder by the end of the 4th year. See Option 1 & 2 below.
If you have been granted a Certificate of Registration between 1st January 2025 - 31st March 2025 you will be required to complete 1 unit of the Real Estate Licensing Course (CPP41419 – Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice) by 30th June, 2025. See Option 3 below.
If you have been granted a Certificate of Registration between 1st April, 2025 - 30th June, 2025 you are exempt from CPD for this year only.
Think Real Estate offer three pathways for Assistant Agents to meet these requirements:
3 UNIT COURSE
If you have chosen to gradually chip away at the Licence Course and just complete the minimum 3 Licence Course units as required by NSW Fair Trading, you can select from any of the 3 units options below. Please do not leave your study till the last minute or you may find it difficult to meet the NSW Fair Trading CPD deadline.
Note should you choose this pathway, you will need to do more than the 3 units required by NSW Fair Trading if you are going to meet the deadline to become a Class 2 Licence holder by the end of the 4th year.
FULL LICENCE COURSE
You also have the opportunity to enrol in the full Licence Course to meet these requirements. The benefits of choosing this pathway far outweigh those of simply meeting the minimum 3 unit requirements. Not only will this pathway save you time and money, but upon successful completion you will become a Class 2 Licence holder sooner and avoid being labelled as an Assistant Agent.
