Assistant Agent - CPD Requirements

 

If you have been granted a Certificate of Registration prior to 22nd June 2020 you must complete at least 3 units of the Real Estate Licensing Course (CPP41419 – Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice) as a minimum each year as CPD and become a Class 2 Licence holder by the end of the 4th year. See Option 1 & 2 below.

 

If you have been granted a Certificate of Registration between 23rd June 2020 and 22nd December 2020 you will be required to complete 1 unit of the Real Estate Licensing Course (CPP41419 – Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice) by 23rd March 2021. See Option 3 below.

 

Think Real Estate offer three pathways for Assistant Agents to meet these requirements:

 

OPTION 1:

 

Complete the minimum 3 units by selecting either the Sales or Property Management Course below to meet your annual CPD obligations.

 

As part of your enrolment, you can choose whether to complete your CPD with or without Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). If you choose to complete the course without RPL you will be required to complete all course units.

 

If you are an experienced Agent and would like to be given the opportunity to demonstrate your industry skill and knowledge and can provide documentation to support this, you should choose to complete the course with Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

 

Following receipt of your evidence, you will undergo a competency conversation with an Assessor over the phone. This will enable our team to identify your existing competencies and deliver a training program specifically tailored to your needs. This ensures that WE ONLY TEACH YOU WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW, NOT WHAT YOU ALREADY DO!

 

Note should you choose this pathway, you will need to do more than the 3 units required by NSW Fair Trading if you are going to meet the deadline to become a Class 2 Licence holder by the end of the 4th year.

 

OPTION 2:

 

You also have the opportunity to enrol in the full Licence Course to meet these requirements. The benefits of choosing this pathway far outweigh those of simply meeting the minimum 3 unit requirements. Not only will this pathway save you time and money, but upon successful completion you will become a Class 2 Licence holder sooner and avoid being labelled as an Assistant Agent.

If you have been granted a Certificate of Registration between 23rd June 2020 and 22nd December 2020 you will be required to complete 1 unit of the Real Estate Licensing Course (CPP41419 – Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice) by 23rd March, 2021.
