Class 1 & Class 2 Licence Holder - CPD Requirements

What's New in CPD for 2025-2026?

Think Real Estate has again been selected by NSW Fair Trading as an approved provider of CPD for the year 2025-2026.

From July 2025, NSW Fair Trading has changed the CPD requirements.

 

Here's what you need to know:

There is no online self-paced learning option for CPD this year. Your learning can only take place via interactive webinar or face-to face with limited numbers of 25 and 40 attendees respectively.

We have multiple locations right across the city, coast and country. Please view our training calendar below for the nearest location.

 

Additional training for all Class 1 agents - In addition to your 7 hours Class 1 Agents are also being required to attend a (5 hour) NSW Fair Trading accredited forum.

 

 

Class 1 & Class 2 Agents (Residential Sales, Residential Property Management & Buyers Agents)

Must complete a total of 7 hours of CPD training.

4 hours on the compulsory topics, which can be studied via interactive webinar OR face-to-face.

3 hours on the Residential Tenancy Reforms which can only be delivered face-to-face.

 

Class 1 & Class 2 Agents (Commercial Agents)

Must complete a total of 5 hours of CPD training.

5 hours on the compulsory topics, which can be studied via interactive webinar OR face to face.

 

Class 1 & Class 2 Agents (Stock & Station Agents)

Must complete a total of 5 hours of CPD training.

4 hours on the compulsory topics, which can be studied via interactive webinar OR face to face.

In addition to the 4 hours for Class 1 & Class 2 (Residential Sales, Residential Property Management & Buyers Agents) above Stock & Station Agents will need to complete one additional unit.

 

 
 

Failure to comply with your CPD requirements may result in the suspension or cancellation of your licence or certificate.

Remember: Additional training for all Class 1 agents - In addition to your 7 hours Class 1 Agents are also being required to attend a (5 hour) NSW Fair Trading accredited forum.

Licensed agents must complete all compulsory topics relevant to their category of licence and area of practice.
