This 7-hour Compulsory Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course covers the mandatory topics prescribed by NSW Fair Trading for residential property managers for the 2026/27 CPD year.
Course Content
The course covers the following three compulsory topics:

Repairs, Maintenance and Habitability: Understand the responsibilities of property managers and landlords in maintaining rental properties, addressing repairs and ensuring properties meet required habitability standards.

Residential Tenancy Reforms and Common Mistakes: Review recent NSW residential tenancy reforms, common compliance mistakes and practical strategies to ensure property management practices meet current legislative requirements.

Domestic and Family Violence Reforms: Explore the latest domestic and family violence reforms affecting residential tenancies, including termination procedures, tenant protections, privacy obligations and property managers' responsibilities.

Assessment and Certification

All participants are required to complete an assessment as part of their CPD training.

Upon successfully completing the required training and assessment, participants will receive a Certificate of Satisfactory Completion via email.

A copy of the CPD certificate will also be available to download through the student portal.
