Class 1 & Class 2 Licence Holder - CPD Requirements

Class 1 & Class 2 CPD Requirements

As a Class 1 or Class 2 Licence holder you are required to complete CPD every year between 23^rd March and 22^nd March the following year.

The CPD requirements for the 2023/2024 CPD year are as follows:

• Option 1: Complete 4 hours of compulsory CPD training via face to face or interactive webinar
• Option 2: Complete 10 hours of CPD training online

Workshops or Interactive Webinars

We are offering a 4-hour session via face to face or interactive webinar for the following compulsory topics:

• Privacy, Proof of ID, Cyber Security, Fraud Prevention and Data Collection
• Importance of Supervision Guidelines
• Review of Relevant Changes to Regulations and Legislation – Sales
• Review of Relevant Changes to Regulations and Legislation – Property Management

Please note if participating in an interactive webinar course, it is a requirement of NSW Fair Trading that your camera is on throughout the entire session. In addition, as a further requirement of NSW Fair Trading class sizes are limited to 40 participants in rooms and 25 participants if training via an interactive webinar.

Online Training

To meet Fair Trading’s requirements you must undertake all compulsory topics for your licence class. The compulsory topics for this year include:

• Privacy, Proof of ID, Cyber Security, Fraud Prevention and Data Collection
• Importance of Supervision Guidelines
• Review of Relevant Changes to Regulations and Legislation
• Price disclosures, representations & underquoting
• Contracts for sale – terms, conditions and responsibilities of agents
• Managing unforeseen rental terminations – incarcerated, abandoned, deceased
• Rentals bonds – management, communication and accountability

We Come To You

Think Real Estate can also come to your Agency or preferred location to conduct a 4-hour face to face session. We will need a minimum of 6 participants. Please note that our CPD calendar books out very quickly, so we advise your team to secure a training date as soon as possible. A copy of your CPD certificate will be retained in your Student Portal should you need to retrieve this at any time.
