What is a Real Estate traineeship? (Only available in NSW)
All qualification training provided by Think Real Estate is fee for service training. However, the Federal Government does provide subsidies to employers for new employees of less than three month’s employment. If an employee is accepted for a traineeship in real estate they are required to undertake study in the qualification CPP40307 – Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate).
As the Commonwealth Government provides funding to the employer to cover some of the costs of employing a trainee (up to a maximum of $4,000) Think Real Estate only invoices the employer at the time they receive the funds from the government. Note that Traineeships are generally for a period of a minimum of 12 to a maximum of 24 months. The length of time is determined by the participant’s existing skills and knowledge, which will be determined by a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process.

How do I find out if I am eligible for a traineeship?
To find out if you are eligible talk to you employer and then complete an application form.
We will submit your application to our traineeship provider, advising you once this has been done. It will take approximately 4 to 6 weeks from the time of submission before Commonwealth Government funding is approved. Once approved, your allocated Think Real Estate trainer/assessor will contact you and your employer to draw up an approved training schedule and make arrangements to begin your training. If you are not eligible for a traineeship you can still obtain your qualification by undertaking our Experienced Agents Licence Qualification Course.
