CPPREP4001 - Prepare for professional practice in real estate
CPPREP4002 - Access and interpret ethical practice in real estate

Course completion times can vary based on prior knowledge and experience but you have up to 3 months to complete. Note: Course completion times may vary depending on individual circumstances, including workshop attendance and the amount of time dedicated to self-paced study. Students are required to complete a Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital assessment (LLND) as a Government requirement. The purpose of this assessment is to check your readiness and suitability for the course.
Once you begin working in the Real Estate Industry as an Assistant Agent, you will be required to transition to a Class 2 Licence within 4 years.

Regardless of your chosen method of study you will need to complete the required activities and assessments.
Our assessments are designed to substantiate your ability to apply acquired skill and knowledge to the workplace.
Upon successful completion, your Statement of Attainment will be sent to you within 30 days of the program completion and this is the evidence you will need to provide to NSW Fair Trading to show you have met the educational requirements.
Note
NSW Fair Trading issue all Certificates of Registration and Real Estate Licences. Application forms can be downloaded from their website. Participants should note that even though they have met the educational requirements, that they must meet other requirements of NSW Fair Trading as to residency and character before a Certificate or Licence is issued.

NSW Assistant Agent Course FAQs
Enrol in our Assistant Agents Course and you will be taking the first step towards launching a successful career in the exciting world of Real Estate.
This course covers the qualification requirements you will need to apply for an Assistant Agents Licence, known as a Certificate of Registration, and undertake the following duties in a real estate office:
Real Estate Sales Assistant
Assistant Property Manager
Note there are other requirements set down by NSW Fair Trading in order to be granted a Certificate of Registration, and those requirements can be found on their website.
The length of time it will take you to finish the Assistant Agents Course will depend on many things. Firstly, it will depend on what knowledge you have of real estate operations in NSW, and secondly on how much time you set aside to read the learner’s guides and undertake the assessments. You have up to three months to complete the course, but we have found that some participants have successfully completed the course within a week when they have set aside the time to do so.
You have a choice of undertaking the course in one of the following ways:
Attending one of our 4-day workshops held every 6 weeks.
Self-paced learning on-line, and/or
Interactive webinars
You will gain competency in the five core units from the qualification CPP41419 - Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice. The five units of competency are:
CPPREP4001 Prepare for professional practice in real estate
CPPREP4002 Access and interpret ethical practice in real estate
CPPREP4003 Access and interpret legislation in real estate
CPPREP4004 Establish marketing and communication profiles in real estate
CPPREP4005 Prepare to work with real estate trust accounts
There are no formal entry requirements for enrolment. However, after you apply for enrolment, you will need to:
Be over 16 years of age.
Satisfy us as to your Language, Literacy, numeracy and Digital capabilities, such as a working knowledge of the English language, an understanding of simple mathematical calculations and that you can operate a computer and software.
Have a USI (Unique Student Identifier) which can be obtained from www.usi.gov.au.
Own or have access to:
A laptop or desktop computer, ideally with either the Windows or Mac operating systems.
The latest version of Adobe Reader (currently Adobe Reader DC), Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel or equivalent.
Internet Access
Video Recording Device (phone, laptop).
Are competent to use the basic functions of their computer and of the software listed above.
Can upload documents and videos to internet sites.
Can set aside time to study and complete assignments in your own time.

Once you have successfully completed the Assistant Agents Course, you need then to apply to NSW Fair Trading for your Certificate of Registration, supplying them with a copy of the Statement of Attainment we send you to show that you have met their educational requirements. Note that NSW Fair Trading have other minimum requirements in regard to Residency, character and criminal history.
At the successful completion of your course, we also send you an information pack with your Statement of Attainment, which includes the NSW Fair Trading application form and full instructions on how to apply to NSW Fair Trading.
