This program has been specifically designed for the highly experienced Agent's Rep, looking to build their personal brand and take their career to the next level by working towards the Real Estate Licence qualification – CPP40307 Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate).
By taking into account your current level of industry knowledge and experience, via the Recognition of Prior Learning process (RPL), we are then able to identify your existing competencies and deliver training that saves you precious time and fills in the gaps in your knowledge so that you don’t need to re-learn things you already know.
To be eligible for this course applicants will need to have worked as an Agent's Representative full-time for at least the previous two consecutive years whilst also meeting Think Real Estate’s additional course entry requirements.

The minimum expected time for completion is approximately 1 month and the maximum course completion time allowed from enrolment is 6 months. Our assessments are designed to substantiate your ability to apply acquired skill and knowledge to the workplace and may include a combination of the following:

Upon successful completion your Statement of Attainment will be sent to you within 30 days of the program completion and this is the evidence you will need to provide to the Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV) to show you have met their education requirements.
CAV issues all Real Estate Licences. Application forms can be downloaded from their website. Participants should note that even though they have met the educational requirements to obtain a Licence that they also need to meet the other requirements of the CAV as to residency and character before a Licence is issued.

A Victorian Real Estate Licence is a licence issued to a person that meets all the regulator’s requirements and allows the holder to operate as a real estate agent in Victoria.
Each state/territory has different requirements in order to become a holder of a licence. Generally the requirements include minimum education requirements, residency requirements and minimum character requirements. Full details of the requirements how to get a Real Estate Licence in Victoria can be found on the Victorian licensing authority's website.
To apply for a real estate licence in Victoria you must have completed the education requirements of the Victorian CVA which is that you hold the qualification CPP40307 – Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) as well as meeting their other more stringent requirements as to residency, character and financial history.

If you wish to open up and manage your own real estate office you need to be a holder of a real estate licence. Also in some jurisdictions being a holder of a licence allows for you to have more flexible employment agreements with the agency you work for.

To begin a Victorian licensing training course with Think Real Estate you will need to be working in a real estate office and depending on jurisdiction holder a Certificate of Registration or be a recognised Agents Rep.
There is no simple answer to this question, as it will largely depend on how much real estate experience you have and what recognition of prior learning you can gain based on that experience. Our application form for the Victorian Real Estate Licence Course contains a comprehensive questionnaire, which will allow us to assess what RPL (recognition of prior learning) may be available to you and then give you an idea of how long it will take to undertake the course.
