If you are looking for a career in real estate and want to undertake the duties of a real estate agent, you need to apply to NSW Fair Trading for a Certificate of Registration. All applicants for a certificate of registration must satisfy the Commissioner for Fair Trading that he/she:

• is at least 16 years of age
• is a fit and proper person to hold a certificate of registration
• has the education qualifications required for the class of certificate of registration concerned
• is not a disqualified person.

In order to qualify for a Certificate of Registration that enables you to work in a real estate office as a salesperson or property manager, candidates must provide a Statement of Attainment from a Registered Training Organisation showing successful completion of the following units of competency from the Property Services Training Package (CPP07). The underpinning knowledge must be based on New South Wales law.

 

• CPPDSM3019A - Communicate with clients as part of agency operations.
• CPPDSM4007A - Identify legal and ethical requirements of property management to complete agency work
• CPPDSM4008A - Identify legal and ethical requirements of property sales to complete agency work
• CPPDSM4080A - Work in the real estate industry.

 

 (NOTE: If you have held a certificate of registration as a real estate salesperson in the past twelve months and you apply for a new certificate of registration as a real estate salesperson, your previous certificate of registration will be accepted in lieu of the current qualification requirements.)

To meet the Office of Fair Trading's requirements THINK REAL ESTATE has developed the "NSW Certificate of Registration Course"  which fully meets the education requirements of the Office of Fair Trading enabling you to apply for a Certificate of Registration.

Your 2nd Step - Enrol in the NSW Certificate of Registration Course

The THINK REAL ESTATE "NSW Certificate of Registration Course" is fully accredited and will give you the qualification you need to gain industry employment. The decision you need to make is - DO you do the in rooms 4 day course or undertake the course by Distance Learning.

The Course can be completed in-rooms during the week over 4 days, 4 Consecutive Saturdays or via Distance Learning (correspondence) - THE CHOICE IS YOURS.
