PROPERTY MANAGEMENT WORKSHOPS
Property Managers say that there are not enough good training options tailor-made for them, and with good reason. But this has now changed.
THINK REAL ESTATE now conducts Property Management training in selected centres around NSW, and participants to these workshops will receive CPD points under Learning Category 3 if they attend and successfully complete the short assessment at the end of the workshop.
Topics Include:-
1. Introduction to Property Management
Targeted to people with little or no practical property management experience or re-entering the industry after some years.
Duration: 4 hours - 12 CPD points
2. The CTTT Inside Out
A practical guide for Property Managers and Principals. It covers most of the issues that arise in regards to the Consumer, Trader & Tenancy Tribunal and other tenancy matters.
The workshop includes simulated CTTT sessions that mirror real life situations.
Duration: 5 hours - 15 CPD points (3 points can be carried over into the next CPD renewal period)
3. Repairs and Maintenance Systems
Managing and controlling repairs and maintenance effectively and sucessfully.
Topic includes
- Agency Policies and Procedures
- Repair management systems and classifications
- Reporting and documentation
- Tradespeople and repairers
- CTTT case studies for repair claims
Duration: 4 hours - 12 CPD points
4. Effective Termination Management
Managing termination of tenancies effectively and correctly.
Topic includes
- Agency Policies and Procedures
- Breach Management - arrears, noise and damage.
- Breaking "Fixed Term" Agreements
- Abandoned properties, shared tenancy and change of tenants
- Termination notices - Reporting and documentation
- CTTT case studies for termination
Duration: 4 hours - 12 CPD points
5. Property Management for Principals - 'Working Smarter NOT Harder'
Defining the role of the Property Management Department in your company and getting the best staff to do the best job.
Systems to protect your rent roll and your agency.
Duration: 4 hours - 12 CPD points
6. Property Management Power-Up! (No. 2)
Covers issues that affect Property Managers everyday.
Topic includes
- Major industry issues
- Mortgagee in possession
- Tenant identification verification and fraud
- Tenant default databases
- Excessive rental increases
- Disclosure of material fact - you are responsible!
Duration: 4 hours - 12 CPD points
7. Property Management Industry Information Session
A rare chance for property management staff and principals to discuss major industry issues, including, the proposed residential tenancy law reforms, current industry issues and identifying future training requirements. Group comments on proposed changes and suggestions on the proposed law changes will be officially submitted to the OFT.
